The need for separation of a precipitate in the indirect colorimetric determination of anions with the aid of sparingly soluble metal chloranilates, in radiometric titrations using solid precipitate indicators and in procedures involving radioactive precipitate exchange, has been eliminated by the use of precipitate membranes.
