Anomalous electrical and magnetic changes in CuCr base alloys during precipitation

The precipitation process in dilute CuCrZrCe and CuCrZrTi alloys was investigated by electrical resistivity and magnetic susceptibility measurements. The anomalous changes of the electrical resistivity and magnetic susceptibility observed during precipitation in both cold‐worked and homogenized samples are believed to be the consequence of the formation of superparamagnetic precipitates of a certain critical size.
