Angular distribution of fission fragments from235U,238U and237Np near the (n, 2 2f) threshold

Abstract

The angular distribution of fission fragments from the fast neutron induced fission of235U,238U and237Np were measured near the (n, 2 nf) threshold by polycarbonate nuclear track detector. A function of the form WΘ=a0+a2cos2Θ has been fitted to the data measured. The anisotropy parameters determined around 14 MeV show a definite energy and Z2/A dependence. The differential fission cross sections were also deduced.
