Abstract

The area scaling of a diffusion-relaxed N2 (337 nm) laser has been studied. It has been shown that the laser characteristics are described by the area scaling equations. These equations determine the dependence of the repetition rate, average power and efficiency of the laser on the transverse dimensions of the discharge channel and the parameters of the channel surface.
