1. Separation of the main protein amino acids in a double-layer system

Abstract

The newly developed automated personal overpressured layer chromatograph (OPLC) can be used for successful analysis of the main protein amino acids. The use of a special double-layer cassette system provides the possibility of a relatively long development distance which results in increased spot capacity and better resolution. It seems that this special methodological version of the OPLC technique might be generally suitable for the separation of other extremely complex biological samples also.
