Abstract

Hydrogen and hydroxyl ion concentrations can be determined by ion-selective amperometry in the pH range 5-9 in unbuffered solutions. The working electrode is a plasticized PVC membrane electrode loaded with the neutral hydrogen ion carrier tridodecylamine. Measurements are made in a flow-injection system.
