Amended heteronuclear correlations by multiple quantum evolution. Theoretical aspects of an ABX spin system

Abstract

The results of a theoretical investigation, using a modified SMART program, on the behaviour of an ABX spin system during the basic INEPT and multiple quantum evolution pulse sequences are presented. We found, in agreement with the experimental results, that the constant time version of the multiple quantum experiment provides an almost complete suppression of spurious signals, even in the case of the most strongly coupled spin system.
