Abstract

The algebraic perturbation theory of Ruelle for dipolar hard sphere mixtures in static external field was extended based on the work of Kalikmanov who applied the theory for one-component DHS fluid. Perturbation was given by the external field, while the reference system (the DHS mixture in zero field) was treated by the analytical MSA approximation. As a specific application, the influence of electrostatic field on the isomerization chemical equilibrium of two dipolar species was studied.
