Aggregation number of ionic micelles from SANS. Problems and limits

Micellar models, molecular volumes and error analysis of the fitting programs are discussed from the point of view of the reliability of the micellar aggregation numbers obtained from SANS. Comparison of aggregation numbers published by different authors indicates essential coherence; differences may be caused by the improper choice of the molecular volumes and by the incompleteness of the micellar models applied.
