After-effect and microstructure of nanocrystalline alloys with different as-quenched disorder

Abstract

The microstructure, initial susceptibility and disaccommodation of Fe73.5Cu1Nb3Si13.5B9 ribbons of 15 and 25 μm thickness and 1 cm width were investigated in the as-quenched state and after annealing at 673 K for 1 h and 823 K for 10 and 60 min. It was found that the magnetic properties and microstructure depend on the as-quenched disorder (i.e. ribbon thickness).
