Akut jobb szivfél elégtelenség és pulmonalis embolia

Translated title of the contribution: Acute right heart failure and pulmonary embolism

Research output: Contribution to journalArticle

Abstract

Acute pulmonary embolism is a life-threatening cardiovascular emergency. The typical underlying cause is deep vein thrombosis, numerous patient-related and setting-related predisposing factors are known. Ginical symptoms are usually aspecific, dyspnoea, tachypnoea and chest pain can occur. D-dimer, compression ultrasonography and CT venography are used to establish diagnosis, occasionally perfusion-ventilation scintigraphy or pulmonary angiography are performed. Echocardiography plays an important role in risk stratification. Immediate antikoagulation needed in pulmonary embolism, in high-risk cases (accompanied by shock and hypotenson) thrombolysis is advised. To prevent recurrent embolization long-term antikoagulation is preferable.
