Achromatic pumping condition for a distributed-feedback dye laser

Abstract

A condition is deduced for angular magnification in a distributedfeedback dye laser (DFDL), in which an optical grating is used for pump beam splitting. When this condition is satisfied, the DFDL wavelength is independent of the pumping wavelength. A new design concept is proposed for the tunable DFDL arrangement.
