Accuracy of the lattice Boltzmann method based on analytical solutions

Using a simple idea, it was shown how to determine whether an analytical steady-state solution of the Navier-Stokes equations can be obtained exactly in the framework of the lattice Boltzmann method (LBM). Using this idea, the analytical solution of the rotated Poisequille problem was tested and shown how the accuracy of the LBM depends on the orientation of the lattice to the flow field for this specific case.
