Absorption of circularly polarized γ-radiation in L- and D-amino acids

Abstract

No difference within the experimental error ( ∼ 10™3) was observed in the absorption of right- and left-circularly polarized γ-radiation in L- and D-tryptophan and tyrosine. For the measurements the 14.4 keV transition of57Fe was used and the analysis of the circularly polarized γ-radiation was performed by Mössbauer method.
