Abstract

Chiral diaza‐crown ether 6 and cryptands of type [2.2.2] (9), containing one glucopyranoside unit, have been prepared. Two methods are described for the synthesis of 9. The new cryptand 12 containing two glucopyranoside units has also been prepared. The association constants (Ka) of these compounds with Li, Na, K and NH4 cations have been measured.
