A novel approach to platinized platinum electrodes: Specific adsorption as a partition between the solution phase and the electrodeposited platinum black layer

The radiotracer study of the adsorption of 36Cl labelled chloride ions was carried out at a platinized electrode in 1 mol dm-3 H2SO4 supporting electrolyte at low Cl- ion concentrations (c < 10-5 mol m-3). It can be demonstrated that the sorption phenomena can be treated as a partition between the solution phase and the platinum black layer of the platinized electrode.
