Abstract

A thermopile heat conduction calorimeter with a sensitivity of dQ/dt=10-7 cal/sew and time constant of (γ) 145sew was developed for measuring the heat which develops during muscular activity. A power transducer of a sensitivity of 1.49 ± 0.27 pond/mV and a displacement transducer of a sensitivity of 0.02 ± 0.001 mm/mV were built into the system.
