Application of a rubber tube filled with water is introduced in Aand B-scan ultrasound examinations of the lacrimal sac. The earlier contact A-and B-scan method and the immersion Aand B-scan technique are combined in this method. Another advantage of utilizing a rubber tube is that infection of the patient via the ultrasound probe can be avoided if the sterilized device is only used once and is filled with sterile solution.
