Abstract

From the roots of Salvia nutans seven diterpenoids have been isolated and characterized, primarily from spectroscopic data. Three of the compounds are new 12-deoxyroyleanones (12-deoxy-6,7-dehydroroyleanone, 12-deoxy-6- hydroxy-6,7-dehydroroyleanone and 12-deoxy-7,7-dimethoxy-6-ketoroyleanone).
