Abstract

We achieved 1-GHz-repetition-rate and low-pump-threshold operation of a femtosecond optical parametric oscillator (OPO) based on periodically poled LiNbO3 (PPLN) using higher-order synchronous pumping with a 1GHz Ti:sapphire laser.
