Abstract

Sodium dodecylbenzenesulfonate mixed to the diet for four weeks in a daily amount of 0,25 g/kg body weight increased the weight of the liver, and the fasting blood sugar level in rats. Sugar tolerance decreased. Detergent loading resulted in similar blood sugar curves than glucose loading.
